Make & Remember Strong Passwords

In light of recent events, we’d like to remind you of the importance of being on top of password security. We’ve all heard it before, but this is important enough to bear repeating.

Change. Your. Passwords.

Here are some tips to help strengthen your password security:

  • If you have too many passwords to keep track of, use a password manager.  We recommend LastPass, which has both free and premium options.

  • No matter what, never reuse a password, especially on a questionable website.

  • Avoid using obviously identifiable information in your passwords, such as spouse’s names, birthdays, pet names, etc.

  • Experts suggest a password length of 12 characters at the very least.

  • It’s also best to make your password a nonsense phrase. Think length rather than complexity.

  • If you really want to lockdown your accounts, check out more recommendations here.

No excuses!  Go change those passwords right now. We'll wait...
